Sand is a songwriter and entertainer based in the Four Corners area. He was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, raised in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and spent much of his adult life out west. Besides music, he has worked outdoors most of his life, including years as a ranchhand and dude-ranch cowboy, He spent five years in Nashville, where Music Row Magzine called him "the very definition of Americana" and three years in Austin, where he was the opening musical comedy act at the world-famous Esther's Follies. He has recorded 14 albums of original music, written two musical comedies and two books-Eclipse Miracle and Real is Good (Reality, Freedom and The Computer Network).
